Effective date: July 6, 2026
CalenDough is a budget calendar app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: your data belongs to you, stays on your devices and in your personal iCloud account, and we never see it.
We collect no personal information. CalenDough has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any data about you or your use of the app.
Everything you enter in CalenDough — transactions, accounts, budgets, categories, recurring templates, bill splits, receipt photos and markups, and app settings — is stored:
Your private iCloud database is accessible only to you, through your Apple Account. The developer of CalenDough has no ability to read, access, or recover any of it. iCloud data is handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and the lifetime license are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, payment details, billing address, or any other account information. We receive only anonymous confirmation from Apple that a purchase is active, which the app uses to unlock features.
If you enable transaction reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. They are not sent through any external server.
If you scan or attach receipts, the images are stored with the rest of your data — on your device and in your private iCloud. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party. Receipt text recognition happens entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks.
Because your data lives only with you, you are always in control of it:
CalenDough is not directed at children under 13, and because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California) give you rights over personal data that companies hold about you. CalenDough holds none: we have no servers containing your information, nothing to export, nothing to correct, and nothing to delete on our end. Your data is exclusively in your possession.
If CalenDough's privacy practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's update notes.
